Job summary

SAIC in Bedford, IN is seeking experienced Welding Technicians to join our production team. You will perform welding and fabrication tasks, interpret drawings, and collaborate with the project team to meet production goals and quality standards.

Candidates should have an associate degree and welding experience with MIG/TIG processes, plus the ability to obtain a Secret clearance; SAIC sponsors the clearance process and on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a related discipline with 1 year of welding experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and SOPs.
• Welding skills in MIG/TIG with related fabrication work.
• Must be able to obtain Secret clearance; SAIC sponsors clearance.

Responsibilities

• Complete welding for projects with required prep and quality welds.
• Keep welding equipment ready and maintained for tasks.
• Suggest process improvements for welding and fabrication.
• Support jigs/fixtures and other assembly tasks as needed.
• Analyze drawings and layouts for proper welding alignment.
• Perform inspections and document results to minimize rework.
• Assist in disassembly/reassembly of components when required.
