Job summary

Torch Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Welder/Welding Technician to support the fabrication and integration of weldments and mechanical assemblies for DoW programs in Huntsville, AL. The role focuses on low-volume, high-mix fabrication and close collaboration with engineers and manufacturing teams.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of manufacturing/fabrication experience, MIG and TIG welding proficiency, and the ability to read mechanical drawings. Security clearance may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of technical training or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing/fabrication experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
• Proficient in MIG welding steel.
• Proficient in TIG welding aluminum and associated weld symbols.

Responsibilities

• MIG weld steel components and assemblies.
• TIG weld aluminum components and assemblies.
• Fabricate weldments from engineering drawings and technical instructions.
• Build and use welding fixtures and jigs.
• Fit, assemble, and mechanically integrate fabricated components.
• Set up and safely operate fabrication equipment.
• Support design reviews and fabrication readiness reviews.
• Provide manufacturing input to improve component designs and manufacturability.
