Job summary

Dover Fueling Solutions (DFS), part of Dover Corporation, seeks a skilled welder to join our manufacturing team. You will perform GMAW/GTAW welding on various metals, read blueprints, and follow SOPs while maintaining safety and equipment.

The role involves preventive maintenance and quality checks in a dynamic production setting. Minimum 2 years welding experience preferred; on-site competency test required.

Qualifications

• Blueprint reading required.
• Must apply basic math skills (fractions/decimals).
• Strong mechanical aptitude expected.
• Minimum of 2 years welding experience preferred.
• Must pass on-site welding competency test (PDQ standards).
• Equivalent education/experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and PPE requirements per established policies.
• Utilize inventory systems (Kanban or Vendor Managed Inventory).
• Read and understand established SOPs.
• Operate basic hand and power tools.
• Read and understand blueprints.
• Weld using GMAW & GTAW on stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum.
• Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Conduct continuous quality checks.
• Use cranes and lifting devices to move product safely.
• Rework parts returned from Quality Department as needed.
• Coordinate part shortages with Supervisors.
• Maintain neat, clean work area per 6-S program.
• Contribute to a team-oriented continuous improvement environment.
