Qualifications

• Must pass welding coupon test and a written welding test.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate welding machines with proper heat and travel speed.
• Load and unload fixtures; operate hoists as required.
• Direct the work of a helper when necessary and ensure safe operation.
• Remove slag from weld head and check completed parts for quality.
• Maintain work area clean and safe; perform preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Record parts produced on time cards and move tickets.
