Job summary

This entry-level Structural Technician I role involves learning basic structural practices, assisting with material handling, tool support, and safe jobsite execution under supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior construction, shipyard, industrial, welding, or structural experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to wear PPE and work safely in an industrial environment.
• Ability to lift, carry, and perform physically demanding work for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of hand and power tools and materials handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with basic structural, fabrication, removal, and installation tasks under supervision.
• Carry and organize tools, materials, and supplies for job sites.
• Follow supervisor directions, safety requirements, and site access rules.
• Prepare surfaces for welding and help with cleaning and grinding as needed.
• Weld metal components using basic welding processes under supervision.
