Job summary

Wabash is seeking a Welding Technician I to safely perform welding tasks under supervision and support welding/fabricating processes across the business. The role requires above-average welding skill, basic automated welding knowledge, and good communication.

The position includes training responsibilities, cross-department collaboration, and a focus on high-quality output. May travel for training and site exposure as needed.

Qualifications

• Score of 51 points or higher on Steel Weld Test.
• Formal welding classes preferred, but not required with proven welding experience.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Perform GMAW welding on varied base materials.
• Perform basic robotic programming and troubleshooting as needed.
• Program and troubleshoot welding machines at a basic level.
• Communicate welding expectations and procedures to Production & other Departments.
• Provide training and mentoring in welding processes.
