Job summary

Samuel in the United States is seeking a skilled Welder to join our manufacturing team. You will perform welding on assigned jobs, review welds for size and penetration, and coordinate with leads, project managers, or QC to address issues.

Responsibilities include setup and operation of welding equipment, maintaining clean, safe work areas, and assisting with grinding, drilling, or other tasks as needed. Occasional field work may be required.

Qualifications

• Must hold 2/3G certification; 6G preferred.
• At least 1 year welding experience at 2/3G level; 2-3 years preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and layouts; works with leads/QC for accuracy.
• Can safely and properly rig work pieces.
• Can safely enter/exit/operate man-lifts and scissor lifts.

Responsibilities

• Welds on jobs as assigned.
• Reviews weld size and penetration.
• Discusses problems with lead, PM or QC.
• Sets up and operates assigned machinery accurately.
• Performs grinding, fit-up, drilling, shearing, or assists others.
• Maintains clean and safe work areas at all times.
• Obtains correct consumables and tools; maintains them.
• Provides feedback to PM on conditions impacting job.
• Looks for ways to increase efficiency and quality.
• May perform field work as necessary.
