Qualifications

• Five years minimum field experience in welding
• Ability to identify techniques of welding (TIG, MIG, arc) and understand metal properties
• Ability to pass welding tests (6g, X-ray) and produce compliant welds
• Completion of Samuel EPC certification
• Ability to work with others to achieve job goals
• Read, write and communicate in English sufficient for job functions

Responsibilities

• Secure components using welding processes per plans and specs
• Select equipment and plan layout for welding
• Prepare materials for welding (cutting/ grinding)
• Set up and weld parts using arc, TIG, MIG or submerged arc welding
• Repair and reassemble products as needed
• Read plans/drawings and make measurements per blueprints
• Pass Samuel EPC approved testing procedures for structural and pipe welding
• Provide own truck and welding source meeting Samuel EPC standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by foreman/supervisor
