Job summary

Samuel, Son & Co. is seeking a skilled welder to join our fabrication team in Wisconsin. You will read blueprints, assemble heads, shells, and flanges for circumferential seam welding of pressure vessels, and perform welding and gouging using GMAW and air carbon arc equipment.

The role requires adherence to safety rules, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, basic computer skills, and willingness to on-site training. Onsite benefits and career growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or 1 year industrial experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret job routings.
• Capable of welding, cutting, gouging as needed for pressure vessels.
• Familiar with GMAW and air carbon arc gouging equipment.
• Knowledge of pneumatic tools and measurement devices.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all plant safety rules and regulations.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance tasks.
• Read blueprints and interpret specifications and routings.
• Assemble heads, shells, and flanges for circumferential seam welding.
• Weld, cut, gouge to fabricate pressure vessels and related parts.
• Operate cranes, hoists, and forklifts as required.
• Document fabrication activities on required forms.
• Complete dye penetrant certification and related inspections as needed.
• Receive on-the-job training and support safety programs.
