Job summary

Waste Management in Tucson, AZ is seeking a skilled welder to fabricate or repair compactors, containers and carts under general supervision. The role requires applying various welding processes and reading prints and drawings to complete tasks within Standard Repair Times.

You will perform preventive maintenance, safety checks, service calls, and related metalwork while adhering to OSHA standards. Requires at least 2 years of welding experience and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years welding experience.
• Reads prints and drawings to guide fabrication and repair.
• Familiar with arc, gas, aluminum welding and brazing.
• Adheres to Standard Repair Times and safety rules.
• Maintains clean, safe work area per OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor repairs and applies basic welding processes.
• Repairs compactors, containers and carts.
• Performs preventive maintenance and diagnostics on hydraulic and electrical systems.
• Conducts safety checks on equipment.
• Documents work using fleet maintenance software.
• Assists senior welders as needed.
• Performs service calls for compactor repair.
• Maintains work area compliant with OSHA standards.
