Job summary

Waste Management in Fort Worth operates a maintenance-focused facility seeking an experienced technician. The role involves preventive maintenance, diagnosing and repairing compactors and containers, and performing diverse welding tasks.

You will document parts usage and repair times in our fleet software and perform safety checks on equipment. Qualified candidates have 4 years of relevant experience and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance inspections, diagnoses and repairs compactors, containers, and carts.
• Performs arc, gas, aluminum welding, brazing, plastic welding, and soft soldering.
• Completes paperwork using fleet maintenance software, documenting parts usage and repair times.
• Conducts safety checks on compactors and containers.
• Performs service calls for compactor repairs and emergency breakdowns.
• Performs layout/setup of dimensions and tolerances; estimates time and material costs.
