Job summary

DistributionNOW is seeking a Welding Supervisor to lead all welding activities within an ASME Code fabrication facility, ensuring compliance with ASME BPVC Section VIII/IX, B31.3, and AWS requirements. You will manage welding personnel, enforce procedures, and ensure fabrications meet customer specifications and production schedules.

You will supervise welding for pressure vessels, piping, and structures, coordinating manpower and equipment while driving continuous improvement and safety.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years welding experience in heavy fabrication.
• 2–5 years of supervisory experience in a fabrication shop.
• Strong experience under ASME Section VIII/IX and B31.3 code requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld maps, and fabrication drawings.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily welding activities for pressure vessels, piping, and structural assemblies.
• Assign work, prioritize tasks, and monitor productivity to meet schedules.
• Coordinate manpower, equipment, and consumables to support workflow.
• Identify and resolve production bottlenecks and welding issues.
• Ensure welds meet code requirements and inspection criteria.
• Coordinate with QA/QC and NDE for RT, UT, PT, MT inspections.
