Job summary

Job: Pipe Fitting & Welding Lead

Reports to: Production Manager

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Fit and weld piping systems to spec, sequence, and schedule.
• Oversee accurate layout, support install, and final spool readiness.
• Own the full spool lifecycle-material prep, fitting, welding, and QC readiness.
• Balance throughput and craftsmanship-your team reflects your standard.

Core Responsibilities:

• Lead fabrication of spool assemblies and system piping.
• Ensure code compliance (ASME, AWS) and proper documentation.
• Track fitting/welding progress per module schedule.

Expectations:

• Ownership: Treat pipe scope as critical infrastructure-quality and function are non-negotiable.
• Execution: Balance speed and quality. Ensure joints are clean, spaced, and properly supported.
• Leadership: Train new fitters/welders and uphold discipline in work areas.
• Problem Solving: Flag design issues or missing BOM early and elevate quickly.
