Qualifications

• Ability to read an engineering print.
• Ability to use hand and power tools to assist welders in performing maintenance, preparation, repairs, or tests.
• Ability to use proper measuring tools and inspection tools to perform quality inspections.

Responsibilities

• Maintain shop production and efficiency goals.
• Operate grinding equipment (hand and stationary).
• Operate robotic plasma cutter.
• Operate hydraulic straightening press.
• Operate hydrostatic test unit safely and productively.
• Inspect materials to be welded.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Record labor hours accurately in the time system.
• May assist in training new employees.
