Job summary

Tally Personnel, LLC seeks a Shop Technician to support production in a manufacturing environment. You will operate a robotic plasma cutter, hydraulic straightening press, and a hydrostatic test unit, while maintaining quality and safety standards.

You must read engineering prints, use hand tools, and inspect materials for welding. The role includes recording labor hours and may involve training new staff. On-site work with lifting requirements is expected.

Qualifications

• Reading an engineering print is required.
• Use of hand and power tools to assist welders for maintenance, repairs or tests.
• Must be able to use measuring/inspection tools for quality checks.
• Move/transfer products with an overhead crane and maintain safety standards.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on site in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Shop Supervisors production and efficiency goals.
• Operate robotic plasma cutter and hydraulic straightening press.
• Operate Hydrostatic test unit safely and productively.
• Inspect materials to be welded and ensure quality.
• Follow verbal or written instructions and maintain a clean, safe work area.
• Record all labor hours accurately and assist in training new employees.
