Job summary

You will plan daily work, manage labor and materials, and provide technical guidance on fit-up, weld sequencing, and distortion control while ensuring drawings and weld symbols are followed. Leadership in Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement is essential for team development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in welding environments.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to guide shop teams.
• Experience with TIG welding and fabrication processes.
• Ability to read fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
• Familiarity with welding codes such as AWS D1.1/ASME IX is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan and assign daily, weekly, and monthly work for the Welding Shop team.
• Manage labor, materials, equipment, and workflow to meet safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals.
• Provide technical guidance for welding and fabrication processes, including fit-up and weld sequencing.
• Ensure work complies with drawings, weld symbols, and work instructions.
• Lead Continuous Improvement, Lean, and 5S activities within the work area.
• Coach employees and conduct performance reviews; support team development.
