Leading Edge Manufacturing, a custom metal fabrication company, is seeking a Fabricator III with at least 5 years of sheet metal fabrication experience to join our team in Louisiana. The role entails welding stainless, aluminum, and steel using TIG and MIG processes, reading and interpreting drawings, and mentoring junior staff.

Expect 40+ hours per week with competitive wages and benefits, with room to grow based on performance.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years minimum in fabrication.
• Proficient in Stainless/TIG/MIG welding for stainless, aluminum, and steel.
• Ability to read procedures, drawings, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Comply with all quality system requirements and specifications.
• Comply with all safety system requirements and wear proper PPE and uniforms.
• Perform tasks in a safe, responsible, and efficient manner.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow oral instructions to perform necessary processes.
• Conduct equipment inspections for proper operation and mechanical integrity.
• Maintain all assigned or department equipment according to procedures.
• Independently read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine operations and explain to others as necessary.
• Independently identify and locate required materials and parts for assigned jobs and explain to others as necessary.
• Maintain and document proper material tracking throughout project such as deficiency logs; may assist as back up to manager for NCR reporting.
• Maintain correct time keeping throughout project by tracking in project management software.
• Use leadership skills to regularly lead groups within a project and mentor new employees as needed for training purposes.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Weld products according to customer specifications and LEM standards using Stainless TIG and MIG, Aluminum TIG and MIG, and/or Steel TIG and MIG procedures and is highly proficient in all 3 metal types; exhibiting expert skills by contributing to best practices for welding procedures.
• Properly setup and safely operate a variety of assigned equipment such as welding machine, ban saw, overhead crane, hammer, pliers, screwdriver, wrench, drill, grinder, and grainer according to all procedures; exhibiting leadership skill by teaching others as necessary.
• Independently examine and feel surface of workpiece for defects and choose the correct tools to grind, polish, smooth, and prepare overall product aesthetics for final inspection, ensuring product outputs meet the specified requirements before product is released; exhibiting expert skills by contributing to best practices for finishing procedures.
• Assist in other areas of the facility as needed or assigned, including overtime when necessary.
