Job summary

The position requires AZ Department of Education teacher certification, a BA in an educational field, strong communication skills, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. CPR/First Aid training and a valid license are also expected.

• Must hold AZ Department of Education Teacher Certification in approved area(s).
• Commitment to confidentiality and FERPA compliance.
• CPR & First Aid Certification and basic safety training.

Responsibilities

• Will support and comply with the Rock Point Community School philosophy, mission, and vision statement.
• Prepare curriculum and lesson plans aligned to AZCCRS and approved guidelines.
• Implement RTI and monitor student progress using formative and standardized assessments.
• Provide instruction with appropriate level of difficulty and scaffolding for diverse learners.
• Engage families regularly in goal setting and student progress discussions.
• Maintain accurate records in NASIS including grades and attendance.
• Collaborate with ESS teachers and paraprofessionals to meet IEP goals.
• Attend staff meetings, PLCs, PODs, and curriculum committees as required.
• Turn in lesson plans and maintain a current gradebook with timely entries.
• Incorporate technology into instruction and differentiate for EL, GT students.
• Be available for parent conferences, IEP meetings, and other obligations outside instructional hours.
• Maintain inventory of classroom supplies and equipment.
• Establish positive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders including online communication.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
