Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a Welding Robot Programmer at our Glendale facility to program, set up, and operate ABB robotic welders for truck and trailer parts. You will develop welding programs, optimize parameters, and troubleshoot systems to ensure high-quality output and efficient production.

The role requires hands-on welding skills, reading blueprints, strong problem-solving, and the ability to travel for training.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Robot Welder with hands-on programming capabilities.
• Experience with robotic welding systems is required.
• Strong understanding of welding processes, robotic programming, and fabrication techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Able to travel for machine-specific training.

Welding Robot Programmer

Work Environment:

The work involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions, such as working around moving parts, machines, fumes, or irritating chemicals. May be required to use protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves, or shields.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors of remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs., assisted or unassisted.
