Job summary

Mavericks Manufacturing Partners, Inc. in Escondido, CA seeks a mid-level Quality Control Inspector to support welding and manufacturing processes in a best-in-class CoE. The role involves in-process inspections, VT of welds, use of metrology tools, and adherence to QMS procedures in a fast-paced shop environment.

The candidate should have 3–5 years of experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to learn new metrology and NDT methods, with forklift certification as needed.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in quality control/inspection or related field.
• Ability to pass CalOSHA forklift safety and operational training and certification.
• Excellent communication, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Windows OS software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Willingness to learn metrology methods and nondestructive testing (NDT) concepts.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process inspections of weldments including fit-up, tack welding, and weld finishing.
• Perform visual testing (VT) and disposition of welds.
• Operate inspection and test equipment (micrometers, calipers, gauges, portable CMM, etc.).
• Generate nonconformance reports in ERP/MES/QMS (ProShop).
• Support weld qualification activities and record weld data.
• Work safely and selectively during extended hours and weekends if required.
