Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification.
• 2 years of experience in quality inspection, welding inspection, fabrication, or a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform receiving inspections on incoming materials, components, weldments, and supplier-provided parts.
• Inspect welded assemblies for compliance with drawings, weld specs, codes, and quality requirements.
• Perform visual weld inspections and evaluate weld size, profile, fit-up, penetration, and discontinuities.
• Verify welding procedures, materials, fillers, and welder qualifications when required.
• Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify dimensions.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections of fabricated products; document findings.
