Job summary

MODULE X SOLUTIONS is seeking a Quality Inspector responsible for inspections of fabricated products, including modular buildings and solar skids, to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications.

The role involves daily QA inspections, NDT tasks, document deficiencies, and support for welding and fitter tests. Strong attention to detail and communication are essential in a fast-paced shop environment near Shreveport.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; tech/trade school preferred.
• Minimum 1+ year in metal fabrication or inspection.
• NDt Level II VT/MT and/or CWI certification preferred.
• Knowledge of welding standards such as AWS D1.1.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Training in welding technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily quality assurance inspections of welded products per QC checklists, drawings, and specs.
• Examine all shelters, skids, and containers as needed.
• Verify fit up and layout meet drawings specifications.
• Complete NDT inspections of lifting lugs and visually inspect welds.
• Document product deficiencies and coordinate corrective actions with production.
• Assist with welding and fitter tests.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Responsible for inspections of fabricated products, including but not limited to modular buildings and solar skids, to ensure compliance to drawings and specifications.

HOURS

• Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
• You will attend orientation at the normal start time then the following day you will come in at your schedule of 2:30PM.
• While working on the 2nd shift, a $2.00/hour shift differential will be added to the base hourly rate.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Performs daily quality assurance inspections of welded products as required by Quality Control [QC] checklists, drawings, and specifications
• Examine all shelters, skids, and containers as needed
• Verify fit up and layout of products meet drawings specifications
• Complete NDT [Magnetic Particle] inspections of lifting lugs and visual inspection of all welds
• Document product deficiencies and follow-up with production to ensure they are corrected
• Assist with all welding and fitter tests
• Performs other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• High School Diploma/GED
• Tech or Trade School completion preferred.

Work Experience

• 1+ year experience in a metal fabrication or inspection related job.

Related Experience:

• NDT Level II VT and MT and/or CWI certification
• Good understanding of welding standards such as AWS D1.1
• Attention to detail
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks; keep up in a fast-paced environment
• Training in Welding Technology
• Knowledge and experience with manufacturing inspection process
• Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
