Job summary

DBM Global is seeking a QC Inspector to verify dimensional accuracy and weld quality in shop fabrication, ensuring compliance with drawings, codes, and specifications. This role involves coordinating with customers’ inspectors and documenting inspection records.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma with 3+ years in metals fabrication/inspection and knowledge of AWS/AISC standards. Prior CWI training is preferred. This position reports to the QA/Production team in Texas.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3+ years in metal fabrication or inspection.
• AWS-CWI or CSA/Equivalent training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform dimensional and visual inspection of shop fabrication, including final paint inspections, weld preparations and final welds.
• Record and maintain in-process and final inspection records for quality assurance and production control.
• Identify and remedy drawing discrepancies with detailers.
• Coordinate with customers' inspectors during inspection phases.
• Inform foremen of defects in fabrication.
• Assist shop personnel with interpretation of codes, drawings and specifications.
