Job summary

ebm-papst, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer to lead welding-related capital projects, optimize welding processes, and drive automation initiatives in a high-volume manufacturing setting.

You will coordinate teams across Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Product Engineering, develop schedules and budgets, and ensure safe, efficient production launches with measurable improvements in OEE and weld quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering or project engineering experience.
• Experience with automated or robotic welding systems preferred.
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead welding-related capital projects from concept through production launch.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
• Coordinate equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, and validation.
• Manage contractors, integrators, and equipment suppliers.
• Track project costs, timelines, and deliverables.
• Prepare reports and project status updates for management.
