Job summary

Workforce Recruiter is seeking a Welding Engineer to develop, optimize, and support welding processes in a vehicle manufacturing environment. You will partner with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to ensure weld quality and support new product launches.

The role requires hands-on process development (MIG, TIG, resistance welding), rigorous parameter control, defect analysis, and adherence to AWS, ISO, and IATF 16949 standards; you will lead audits, PPAPs, PFMEAs, and drive Lean/Six

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Welding, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3 years in welding engineering or weld process development within manufacturing; AWS certification preferred.
GD&T familiarity.
AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and MS Office proficiency.
Strong weld procedure development and defect analysis skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize MIG, TIG, and resistance welding processes.
Define and maintain welding parameters, procedures, and standards.
Investigate welding defects, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with AWS, ISO, and IATF 16949 industry standards.
Conduct weld audits, support PPAP submissions, and develop PFMEAs and control plans.
Apply Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste, cycle time, and consumable costs.
