Job summary

H+M Industrial EPC seeks a Shop Welding Engineer to serve as the technical authority for welding processes, quality, and productivity in the pipe fabrication shop. You will facilitate procedures, qualifications, and troubleshooting while collaborating with welders, the Fab Shop Manager, and QA/QC teams.

You will lead evaluation of welding automation, new fabrication technology, and provide day-to-day support on production performance, RFIs, and budget/schedule/document tracking to drive

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent training.
• Experience with welding processes and pipe fabrication shop operations.
• Familiarity with welding codes and standards (ASME/API/AWS).

Responsibilities

• Be the technical expert for weld procedures, qualification, and troubleshooting on the shop floor.
• Lead root-cause investigations for weld defects and track trends for leadership.
• Evaluate and implement welding automation and new fabrication technology.
• Support shop leadership with production performance, RFIs, budgets and schedules.
