Stellar in Garner, IA offers an internship focused on developing and implementing cost-effective manufacturing processes aligned with product specs and quality standards. You will assist in engineering instructions, cost quotations, and concurrent engineering reviews while supporting new product launches and production improvements.

The role covers tool design and procurement, prototype fabrication, training, and hands-on involvement with floor layouts, robotics, and welding equipment.

Qualificações

• B.S. degree preferred in manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering or related field.
• Experience in manufacturing engineering or a commensurate level of experience with related products; ability to handle multiple projects.
• Proficiency with computers, welding and assembly practices, tools and fixturing; strong communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Develops engineering instructions using manufacturing engineering practices.
• Prepare quotations for labor, tooling, and equipment to support business unit requirements.
• Participate in concurrent engineering design reviews.
• Evaluate and approve drawings, routings, specs, and other documents.
• Design and procure tools/equipment.
• Write appropriation requests.
• Train employees or conduct training to introduce new processes.
• Prepare/manufacture prototypes using concurrent engineering; monitor part flow and communicate design changes.
• Investigate and validate new technologies and products for future growth.
• Develop and manage Cap Ex projects for Stellar weld equipment.
• Work on floor layout, racking, cart design, in design and implementation.
• Support production and part fitment issues.
• Root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
