Job summary

Stellar in Garner, IA seeks an experienced welder to join our manufacturing team. You will weld aluminum, steel and stainless components, read blueprints, set up equipment, and produce high-quality work with minimal scrap.

Training will be provided. The job requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing long shifts, and adhering to safety rules. MIG experience, blueprint reading, and precision are highly valued in a fast-paced environment with room for growth.

Qualifications

• 6 months similar experience or Weld Program Certification from an accredited Trade School or Vocational Program preferred.
• Able to commit to welding training provided by the Company.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.

Responsibilities

• Weld aluminum, steel, and stainless-steel components (bench, MIG).
• Be capable of performing all aspects of welding area.
• Grind welds.
• Work with other employees as part of a team as well as individually.
• Willingness to take direction from area supervision and follow that direction.
• Attend/successfully complete company sponsored weld-training program.
• Read blueprints/work orders and other technical documents required by the job of a welder.
• Become efficient with welding and learn all aspects of the job as required.
• Set up and assemble various components/machines for welding.
• Maintain safe and clean work areas and follow safety rules.
