Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in North Brunswick Township, NJ, seeks a Production Associate 2 (Welder) to operate welding equipment and assemble window units in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

You will set up welding equipment, ensure high-quality welds, measure precisely, and collaborate with the team to optimize production while following 5S, PPE and safety protocols. 1-3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for the full shift.
• Cross-train and rotate across line/complex.
• Measure lengths accurately to 1/32”
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; can convert fractions to decimals.
• Able to read schematics, drawings and diagrams.
• Capable of using computerized equipment.
• Able to operate foam filling machine.
• Ability to move carts in and out of production areas.
• 1 - 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate welding equipment in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
• Operate and use hand tools to construct window units.
• Set up welding equipment and select materials per specifications.
• Ensure high-quality welds meet production standards.
• Fabricate and assemble window frames using welding techniques.
• Ensure accurate measurements and alignment during welding.
• Perform quality inspections and address issues of concern.
• Inspect finished products and make adjustments as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment following 5S/PPE/LOTO.
• Collaborate with team to optimize production processes.
