The role includes ensuring compliance with industry codes and mentoring welders. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, strong knowledge in welding processes, and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Qualifications
3+ years of experience in manufacturing, welding engineering, or quality engineering.
Experience developing and qualifying WPS, PQR, and WPQ documentation.
Ability to conduct audits to ensure compliance with welding standards.
Responsibilities
Develop and standardize welding processes across multiple manufacturing sites.
Ensure compliance with AWS, ASME, and API welding codes.
Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for welding defects.
Skills
Strong knowledge of arc welding processes (GMAW, GTAW, FCAW)
Bilingual: English (B2/C1) and conversational Spanish
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Proven ability to apply root cause analysis tools
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical, Mechanical, Materials, Aerospace Engineering, or related field
Tools
Knowledge of AWS, ASME, and API codes and standards
Knowledge of materials standards (ASTM, ISO, EN)
Experience with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods (VT, PT, MT, UT)
