Job summary

AAON, Inc. in Memphis, TN is seeking a Welding Supervisor to oversee daily production floor operations, manage workflow, and ensure on-time manufacturing of welded goods.

The role requires 3–5 years of hands-on welding experience, supervisory exposure preferred, and knowledge of welding codes (AWS, ASME, ISO). Proficiency in MIG, TIG, STICK and FCAW is desired; CWS certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on welding experience with supervisory exposure preferred.
• Deep understanding of welding codes (AWS, ASME, ISO), metallurgy, blueprints, and NDT methods.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and train a diverse team to foster accountability.
• Proficiency with MIG, TIG, Stick, and Flux Core welding processes.
• Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS) from AWS is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the production floor, ensuring efficient manufacturing of goods.
• Inspect finished welds for compliance with blueprints, codes (AWS, ASME, ISO), and standards.
• Enforce PPE usage, conduct safety audits, and maintain a 6S workplace.
• Hire, train, mentor, and evaluate welder performance, addressing disciplinary issues as needed.
• Oversee welding, cutting, and assembly operations (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW).
• Maintain records of welding procedure specifications (WPS) and employee certifications.
