Job summary

Eddie Kane Steel Products is seeking a structural steel welding inspector and NDT technician to ensure quality across welded assemblies and raw materials. You will prepare customer reports, maintain calibration, and help the facility prepare for audits, upholding QMS and industry standards.

Responsibilities include welding and NDT inspections, reporting non-conformances, and supporting management to achieve audit readiness. Strong reading of drawings and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Proficient in communicating, reporting, and documenting quality observations.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Quality control of layout, assembly and installation to meet AISC and AWS standards.
• Perform Weld Inspections.
• Perform NDT inspections and interpret results.
• Dimensional inspections and first article inspections on cut parts and machined parts.
• Create and fill out inspection reports.
