Job summary

All Things Metal, a Phoenix-based structural steel fabricator, seeks a detail-oriented welding structural steel fabrication quality control inspector for the industrial product line. You will support fabrication by performing QC inspections including fit-up, weld, final QC, and coating inspections.

Expect to record QA data, coordinate with foremen and managers, and lead audits to ensure quality on time. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and building quality procedures as the company grows.

Qualifications

• CWI is a plus, but not required.
• Five years fabrication shop welding experience.
• Ability to read and interpret structural steel drawings.
• Knowledge of AWS and AISC codes applicable to steel fabrication and erection.
• Comply with shop safety policies in a safety sensitive position.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain inspection records for quality assurance.
• Communicate effectively with fabrication foremen, project managers, and team members.
• Plan and coordinate inspections as required.
• Maintain compliance with the QSM throughout the Quality Control process.
• Establish and build quality control standards and processes as lines progress.
• Lead internal and external quality audits and meet project deadlines.
