Job summary

CFE Engineers Asia PTE LTD is looking for a QA/QC professional to support project success through detailed inspections of welding and NDT, coordinating quality work with production teams and customers, and maintaining documentation for audits.

The role involves preparing accurate quality records, supporting ISO audits, inspecting incoming goods, and driving corrective actions for non-conforming products on site.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a QA/QC role within steel fabrication or related industries.
• Welding inspector certification such as AWS, CSWIP, or equivalent preferred.
• Familiarity with steel materials, welding processes, testing methods including NDT.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with personnel at all levels.
• Own transport preferred to facilitate site visits and inspections.

• Assist the QA/QC Manager in quality assurance and control activities to support project success
• Conduct detailed inspections on welding and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) to verify compliance with specifications
• Coordinate quality work and specifications with production teams, class surveyors, and customers to ensure standards are met
• Prepare accurate quality records and reports on products and projects after job completion for documentation and review
• Monitor and support ISO quality audits in collaboration with the Management Committee to maintain certification standards
• Prepare and submit documentation required for client approval to facilitate project progress
• Inspect incoming goods and perform final inspections before delivery to ensure product quality and compliance
• Identify and report non-conforming products promptly to initiate corrective actions

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar QA/QC role within steel fabrication or related industries
• Welding inspector certification such as AWS, CSWIP, or equivalent preferred to enhance inspection credibility
• Familiarity with steel materials, welding processes, and testing methods including NDT and destructive testing
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with personnel at all organizational levels
• Possession of own transport preferred to facilitate site visits and inspections
