Scion Staffing, Inc. has been engaged to conduct a search for an experienced Welding Manufacturing Engineer for an established industrial equipment manufacturer in Greene, NY.

The role focuses on hands-on process improvement and on-floor innovation to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years in industrial manufacturing with welding expertise, experience with CAD tools, and a strong Lean/TPS background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Welding/Mechatronics/Automation preferred.
• 5+ years in industrial manufacturing with welding process knowledge.
• Experience with CAD for layouts, fixtures, and tooling.
• Lean manufacturing and TPS principles applied in production environments.
• Excellent communication and multi-project management skills.
• MIG welding, industrial automation, and robotic welding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize welding manufacturing processes, layouts, fixtures, and tooling for safety, quality and efficiency.
• Implement and troubleshoot manual and automated welding processes, including robotic welding systems.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and automation teams to solve operational challenges.
• Apply Lean/TPS to reduce waste and improve material flow and productivity.
• Evaluate processes and technology improvements with make-vs-buy analyses and business cases for automation.
• Establish controls, SOPs, and continuous improvement to ensure quality and reliability.
