Job summary

Scion Staffing, Inc. is seeking a Welding Manufacturing Engineer for an established industrial equipment manufacturer in Greene, NY.

You will drive welding process improvements, implement automation and robotics, and collaborate across production teams to enhance safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in industrial manufacturing, welding knowledge, and hands-on troubleshooting, with CAD skills and Lean/TPS experience.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years in industrial manufacturing with welding process knowledge and hands-on troubleshooting.
CAD experience with SolidWorks/AutoCAD/Inventor/CATIA for layouts and tooling.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and optimize welding processes, layouts, fixtures, and tooling.
Implement and troubleshoot manual and automated welding and robotic systems.
Collaborate with production, engineering, and automation teams on technical solutions.
Apply Lean/TPS principles to improve material flow, reduce waste, and boost performance.
Assess make-vs-buy options and build business cases for automation initiatives.
Establish process controls, SOPs, and manufacturing improvements for quality and reliability.
