Job summary

Engineered Products in Easley, SC, is seeking a Welding Manager - Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to lead daily welding operations in a structural steel environment. Reports to Plant Manager and collaborates across Quality, Engineering, and Operations.

The ideal candidate holds an active AWS CWI, with 3+ years in welding leadership and strong knowledge of AWS D1.1/D1.3, welding processes, and fabrication drawings. On-site role with focus on SQDC, safety, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Active AWS CWI certification is required.
• Minimum 3+ years in welding/fabrication/inspection or production leadership in structural steel or heavy industry.
• Experience leading welders, fitters, team leads, or skilled-trade workers preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily welding operations to meet production schedules, quality standards, cost objectives, and delivery commitments.
• Direct, coach, and develop welding supervisors, team leads, welders, fitters, robotic welders, and others.
• Ensure compliance with Welding Procedure Specifications, drawings, weld symbols, and AWS standards.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions for weld defects and rework.
• Oversee weld inspections and welder qualifications; manage related documentation.
