Job summary

Qualifications

• AWS CWI certification with a focus in D1.1.
• Minimum five years’ experience in AISC practices including RCSC bolt testing and inspection.
• Knowledge of welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, etc.).
• Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (AWS D1.1, ASME IX, etc.).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• OSHA 10 or 30-hour training and TWIC card.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• NDT certifications (MT, PT, UT, RT) a plus.
• Physical ability to work in heights, confined spaces, and outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Act as supervising welding inspector for complex projects with visual and non-destructive testing.
• Ensure procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications.
• Maintain CWI status and inspect welding and structural steel.
• Oversee documentation and complex reports with minimum supervision.
• Supervise other inspectors or subcontractors as needed.
• Coordinate with professionals and read project plans.
