Job summary

Cummins Inc. in York, SC is seeking a Skilled Technician - Level II to join our manufacturing team. You will weld rear axles, inspect quality, and support maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives while adhering to safety standards.

You will read work instructions, operate pneumatic tools and hoists, and collaborate with teammates to ensure on-time delivery in a dynamic on-site environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; export controls licensing may apply.
• Some manufacturing/assembly knowledge and tool experience.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• Experience with welding and assembly processes.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety rules and safe operating practices.
• Adhere to work instructions and quality checks per control plans.
• Meet site attendance expectations and participate in CI efforts.
• Weld parts on axles by hand and inspect weld quality.
• Prepare parts, read schedules, and maintain timeliness.
