Job summary

Job description

We are looking for a talented Engineering Technician to join our 2nd Shift team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in York, SC .

Job Summary:

Performs skilled activities which support manufacturing business needs. Selects and uses appropriate tools, machinery and specialty equipment completing work with limited guidance. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
  • Ability to learn and interpret department specific systems (Cubix, ShopTech, etc.)
  • Ability to learn and understand assembly line processes
  • Ability to determine root cause to line issues and to fix and or elevate to the next level through proper channels
  • Understanding the process of dressing an axle is a plus (Welding, installing brakes, hubs, oil etc).

Base Rate: $23.90 - $29.89/hr

Shift Premium: $.50/hr
