Job summary

Ideal Tridon Group in Smyrna, TN, is seeking a Welding Machine Operator on 3rd shift to join its team. The role operates welding equipment to join metal spans, with setup duties for related machinery, following blueprints and specifications.

The position pays $21.00 per hour, with a $1.50 shift differential for the 11:00pm–7:30am shift. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Hi-Lo certification preferred; trained and certified on the hilo.
• Approximately 1 year of manufacturing experience preferred.
• Must clear drug screen and background check; reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Operates welding machine to join metal spans in fabrication.
• May set up and operate related equipment (drill presses, saws, brakes, grinders, NC equipment).
• Follow blueprints and specifications to weld or mend metal accurately.
• Use hand and power tools to shape, cut, and smooth metal; blend seams.
• May set up soldering and welding equipment as needed.

We are seeking Welding Machine Operator on 3rd Shift to join our team at the Wesanco Smyrna TN plant!

Schedule And Shift

• 3rd 11:00pm - 7:30am Sunday - Thursday

Hourly Pay Rate $21.00

• 3rd shift includes $1.50 shift differential

Job Responsibilities

• Operates welding machine in order to join metal spans in metal fabrication process
• May set up and operate machines such as drill presses, punch presses, saws, shears, bending rolls, brakes, grinders, and numerical control equipment to shape and alter metal according to specifications.
• Follows blueprints, customer specifications, rough sketches, or engineer drawings to shape mend, weld metal accurately.
• Uses hand and power tools to shape, cut, and smooth metal and to blend seams.
• May set up and operate soldering and welding equipment.

Requirements

• Excellent verbal communication skills with strong aptitude for operating machinery.
• Ability to follow instructions and learn the production process.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
• Strong attention to detail, with excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended period

Education And Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Hi-Lo Certification preferred must be trained and certified on the hilo.
• (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be able to clear drug screen and background check.
• Must have reliable transportation.
