Job summary

Chicago Bridge & Iron Company is seeking a Welding Engineer Technician to perform welding, NDE, PWHT, and machining in the CB&I Weld Lab. The role supports development of new construction and welding technologies and assists with training CB&I personnel.

This position requires effective communication, adherence to HSE culture, and ability to work with a team across disciplines to deliver high‑quality welds and tested components.

Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years of welding experience preferred.
• College certificate in welding technology or manufacturing technology preferred.
• Cross‑functional training such as mechanical testing and machining desired.
• Participation in safety rules and regulations training.

Responsibilities

• Actively seek mentoring relationships and set career goals.
• Perform welding, NDE, PWHT, machining per work instructions.
• Assist in training welding personnel and maintaining weld lab equipment.
• Collaborate with weld lab team to meet deadlines and quality standards.
