Job summary

CB&I is seeking a Welding Engineer Technician to perform welding, NDE, PWHT and machining within the Weld Lab, contributing to development of new welding technologies and training personnel. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a project-site environment.

Responsibilities include mentoring, meeting deadlines, and maintaining lab equipment while applying CB&I standards and procedures. Local site requirements apply for a dynamic, hands-on manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 0 to 2 years of welding experience preferred.
• College certificate in welding technology or manufacturing technology preferred.
• Cross-functional training such as mechanical testing and machining desired.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding, NDE, PWHT, machining and related technical functions in the CB&I Weld Lab.
• Assist with in-house training and testing of welding personnel.
• Maintain safe, efficient operations of the Weld Lab and related equipment.
• Produce deliverables per work instructions and meet deadlines.
• Implement improvement initiatives within the department and company.
