Job summary

Central Georgia Technical College is seeking an associate-level Welding & Joining Technology Instructor to teach in the classroom and lab, prepare syllabi and lesson plans, and develop program goals. The instructor must demonstrate effective teaching techniques, testing, grading, and up-to-date industry knowledge.

Teaching may include day/evening classes and online delivery, with travel within the college’s service area as needed.

Qualifications

• Earned Technical Certificate of Credit or higher in Welding and Joining Technology, or some college in field or related field.
• Certificate, license, or specialized training in field AND at least one year of relevant work experience.
• Documentation required: resume, CGTC application, transcripts, qualification form, and supporting documents for teaching discipline.

Responsibilities

• Teach Welding & Joining Technology in classroom and lab.
• Prepare syllabi and lesson plans; develop program goals and objectives.
• Maintain grade books, records, and required reports; ensure effective oral and written communication.
• Mentor adjunct faculty and lead as needed in discipline.
• Travel within CGTC service area for dual enrollment programs and sites.
