Job summary

West Georgia Technical College seeks a Welding and Joining Adjunct Instructor to deliver theory and hands-on training in welding and joining technology. Courses are taught in classroom and lab settings, with on-campus, blended, and mobile lab delivery as needed.

Times may include mornings, afternoons, or evenings to meet program needs. The role pays $40.00 per training hour as a part-time, temporary adjunct without benefits.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Welding and Joining Technology or related diploma/degree from an accredited institution.
• Three (3) years out of the past seven (7) years of experience in welding and joining.
• Must be able to pass the AWS welding test; some locations will require an additional pipe welding test.

Responsibilities

• Provides instruction in the theory and practical applications of Welding and Joining Technology.
• Maintains knowledge of current trends and developments in Welding and Joining Technology.
• Instructs courses in a classroom and lab environment that closely simulates the industry environment.
• Instructs face-to-face, blended, on-campus, and mobile lab as needed.
• Prepare customized training plan according to client needs.
• Assesses student progress and grades coursework.
• Utilizes current technology in the classroom and lab.
• Maintains program certification/accreditation as appropriate.
• May attend professional development training as required.
