Job summary

Georgia State Government is seeking an Instructor in Welding to teach and supervise students in Welding and Joining Technology. The role develops course outlines, prepares lesson plans, and evaluates progress while ensuring safety and program compliance.

The position requires a welding certification and at least 3 years of welding experience; preferred qualifications include an Associate’s degree and 5 years of welding/joining experience with instructional capability.

Qualifications

  • Must have welding certification and/or a welding credential.
  • Minimum of 3 years welding/joining work experience.
  • Preferred: associate degree in Welding and Joining Technology, 5 years welding/joining experience, and instructional capability.

Responsibilities

  • Instruct and supervise students in Welding and Joining Technology.
  • Develop program/course outlines, lesson plans, and assess student progress.
  • Maintain documentation, safety standards, and equipment; support recruitment and placement efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned.
