Texas State Technical College (TSTC) is seeking an experienced Welding Instructor to deliver approved curriculum and mentor students in a practical environment. You will interpret assessments, integrate technology, and act as an ambassador for the program.

The role emphasizes engaging learners with varied styles, providing constructive feedback, and supporting student growth while upholding college values and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Verifiable industrial welding experience in the welding and fabrication industry.
• Proficiency in GTAW, GMAW, FCAW, SMAW on plate and pipe.
• Blueprint reading and pipefitting theory.
• Successful completion of supervised Weld Test on site.
• AWS D1.1 or D9.1 certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver high quality instruction and develop course syllabi.
• Foster learning through varied instructional methods and safety emphasis.
• Advise students and support retention with Office of Student Success collaboration.
• Promote department planning for recruitment and outreach.
