Job summary

Qualifications

• Active certification or licensure is required where applicable.
• At least 5 years of industry experience within the last 10 years.
• Prior to teaching, instructors must have documented teaching experience or complete the new instructor training.
• Ability to qualify as instructor per institutional and accreditation standards.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations helpful for proprietary education.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging classroom and lab instruction with assessment and classroom management.
• Ensure that students have been presented with the material to meet learning objectives of each course.
• Prepare instructional materials and equipment for student use, maintaining adequate quantity and working order.
• Participate in faculty assessment and professional development activities; maintain required certification and licensure.
• Attend meetings, review assessment data, and meet academic and administrative deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and regulatory guidelines and internal policies.
• Other duties as assigned.
