Job summary

Spartanburg Community College is seeking a Welding Technology instructor to teach welding technology courses to a diverse student body, and to develop and revise course materials in alignment with the college’s mission. The role includes maintaining office hours, advising students, and participating in professional development opportunities, while supporting graduate placement and college committees.

Teaching may occur on campus or via distance learning, with varied day, night, or weekend

Qualifications

Certificate in Welding Technology from an accredited institution and a minimum 5 years of appropriate work experience.
Must have demonstrated expertise in the areas of welding, print reading, and pipe welding.
Associate degree in Welding Technology is preferred for enhanced qualifications.

Responsibilities

Teach Welding Technology courses to a diverse student body using effective teaching strategies.
Develop, revise, and maintain course materials; promote the mission of the College.
Maintain office hours and participate in appropriate professional development opportunities.
Assist in graduate placement and serve on College committees; promote institutional goals.
