Job summary

Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications to build an active pool of qualified candidates for Adjunct Faculty (temporary, part-time) positions. Adjunct instructors may teach at the Lex D.

Walters Campus and at six county centers located in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick. Responsibilities include teaching a diverse student body at various locations, using instructional technology, and applying effective teaching methods.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of welding experience and an associate degree or five years of experience with relevant industry certifications.
• Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, and GTAW welding processes on plate, pipe, and structural steel.
• Ability to share welding knowledge through instruction and training.

Responsibilities

• Teach a diverse student body at various locations in accordance with established syllabi.
• Utilize instructional technology and apply a variety of effective teaching methods.
• Plan, manage, and deliver course instruction; follow EPA and OSHA regulations for the program.
• Participate in college functions and support continuous improvement of the program and college.
